Is the AYRES a link between the different CAVERLY trees and variant surnames? 

Exploring more of my yDNA I found a possible link to the surname AYRES. I joined an AYRES DNA Project site to see if we can learn more. 

The AYRES surname is much more popular then my CAVERLY surname. AYRES with variants is popular in the USA and can be found in the UK. I have found a yDNA match with Russell Ayres, 60 out of 67 markers. His oldest ancestor appears to be George Judson Ayres b. 1876, Nebraska. So far Russell Ayres has no matches in the AYRES DNA Project. 

The CaverlyDNAProject had noted 3 Caverly trees not genetically related. I have now noted the AYRES DNA shows in all 3 of these trees and could be a common link. A variant surname CAVALIER also shows AYRES DNA. 

Due to the popularity of the AYRES it is not possible to determine how the AYRES & CAVERLY DNA fits together and where the oldest common ancestor shows up. 

I have now found DNA matches between AYRES & CAVERLY on FamilyTreeDNA, Ancestry and MyHeritageDNA. My surname CAVERLY now shows on the Ayres DNA Project list.
